Alphabet of Emotions
The Alphabet of Emotions program was a formative initiative for Group “Let’s…”, developed during the NATO bombing of Serbia and Montenegro. The goal of the program was to help children who had experienced the bombing process their negative emotional states. This was achieved primarily by providing a safe space for emotional expression and support, as well as by offering constructive ways to cope with difficult emotional experiences.
Additional goals of the program included emotional relief through sharing with others, fostering a sense of community, supporting personal autonomy and initiative, developing listening skills and understanding others’ emotional states, and promoting nonviolence.
From 2000 to 2024, the program was implemented in collaboration with elementary schools in Belgrade: Vuk Karadžić (Sremčica), Oslobodioci Beograda (Palilula), Majka Jugovića (Zemun), Kosta Abrašević (Resnik), Branko Radičević (Batajnica), and Đorđe Krstić (Žarkovo).
