Glance
Glance is a short inclusive dance film created through the collaboration of dancers (with and without disabilities), choreographers, directors, and other collaborators.
Conceptually designed as four interwoven lines of dance, the first represents an intimate gaze turned inward, the second is a look (from another perspective) at one’s powerless parts, while the third offers a view of one’s ability to overcome imposed limitations. The fourth thematic line speaks to togetherness, representing a broadening of horizons — an expansion of perspectives.
Premiere: Bitef Polyphony (a side program of the Bitef Festival), September 2021.
Festivals: Kondenz Festival (Belgrade), Tanz Platz Festival (Novi Sad), Opine Dance Festival (Philadelphia, USA), Screen – Spring Dancefilm Festival (Barcelona, Spain), Idaho Screendance (Boise, USA), RODi – Reflection on Disability in Art (Thessaloniki, Greece), Human Rights Film Festival Madrid (Spain), PlatArtistic Dance Film (Valencia, Spain)
Glance was a finalist at the European Cinematography Awards (Amsterdam, Netherlands), and received the award for Contribution to the Promotion of Inclusion in Film at the Tagore Festival (India).
