Tech Tales
Group “Let’s…” is collaborating with organizations from six European countries on the implementation of the project TECH TALES (twistedtales.tv). The lead organization is the Institute for Transmedia Design (Slovenia), and the partners are Art Rebel 9 (Slovenia), Vienna Design Office (Austria), FLUX (Montenegro), Art Transparent (Poland), and IAAC – FabLab Barcelona (Spain).
Through this project, we bring some classic children’s stories into the modern world. Children across Europe will participate in workshops where they reinterpret well-known fairy tales and create visual and audio materials that will be incorporated into interactive augmented reality (AR) books, exhibitions, and audio stories in several languages. Collaborators such as illustrators, actors, writers, and sign language translators will help bring these transformed stories to life in accessible formats, making them available to a broader audience.
The project will feature an AR exhibition, which will premiere at the Vienna Design Week in September 2026, followed by exhibitions in Barcelona, Cetinje, and Wrocław. Alongside these exhibitions, TECH TALES will also organize digital literacy workshops for children and educators, aiming to deepen their understanding of AR and the role of technology in storytelling. More than 700 children and 40 educators will take part in these workshops. The project will involve over 250,000 people from the wider public in a playful exploration of critical social issues, combining creative, hands-on, and tech-enhanced experiences.
